Yoga teacher Kaitlin Armstrong flashes new face in court appearance

Yoga teacher Kaitlin Armstrong showed off her new face in court Thursday in a hearing ahead of her murder trial where she’s accused of killing off romantic rival and pro cyclist Anna Moriah Wilson.

Armstrong, who drastically altered her appearance while on the run from authorities last year, expressed little emotion during the pretrial hearing, according to photos taken inside a courtroom at the Blackwell-Thurman Criminal Justice Center.

Armstrong, 34, was arrested last summer and charged with killing her then-boyfriend’s fling in an entangled love triangle.

Armstrong allegedly killed Wilson, 25, in a jealous rage after she discovered her longtime boyfriend Colin Strickland, also a pro cyclist, dated the victim while on the outs with Armstrong, according to police.

During Thursday’s court date, Armstrong was uncuffed and sported a red prison garb top and loose black and white striped pants with her hair in a braid.

She had her hands behind her back as she and her lawyers faced the judge and held a thick stack of papers at one point.

She pleaded not guilty to a first-degree murder charge during a July arraignment, but no cameras were allowed in for that court date.

During another court appearance in October, cameras were again banned.

Armstrong allegedly shot and killed Wilson inside the victim’s friend’s home on May 11 after Wilson had met up with Strickland earlier that day while she was in town, according to a police affidavit posted by the Austin American Statesman over the summer.

Wilson was found that night with multiple gunshot wounds in the bathroom, the affidavit states.

Armstrong was questioned by police but fled the country afterward.

She became a fugitive as police hunted her down before she was arrested last June in a Costa Rican hostel by US Marshals.

When she was picked by federal authorities, she left behind two passports and a $6,350 receipt for cosmetic surgery, according to an Inside Edition report.

US federal officials said the yogi altered her appearance with a bandage on her nose and bruises under her eyes.

She also cut her hair shorter and dyed it a darker shade of brown.
