Woman warns against popular lash serum after lashes fall out
This beauty news would cause anyone to lash out.
A young woman online has issued a stark warning against the eyelash serum she used for a year, which she says made her eyelashes fall out.
“Be careful with lash serums because ‘Oh My F-cking God’!” TikToker @lilcrackheadbih said in her video.
She said that she used GrandeLASH serum for about five months when she noticed amazing results.
The Grande Cosmetics GrandeLASH-MD Lash-Enhancing Serum ($68) is created with vitamins, peptides and amino acids and is advertised to help with the appearance of longer, thicker-looking lashes in just four to six weeks — with full improvement in three months, according to a 12-week consumer study with 30 subjects.
However, this TikToker did not continue to see the promised results for long.
Photos show her lashes looking long and luscious after a few months of using the product pretty consistently.
“I grew those myself,” she boasted showing off the photos of her natural lashes.
But after the initial promising results, she was disappointed when they didn’t last.
She claimed that after about a year of using the serum her eyelashes actually began to fall out rapidly and without warning.
“Just all of a sudden, within literally two weeks… what the f-k,” she said, showing another photo of her thinned eyelashes.
“I’m never gonna have these babies back.”
She eventually stopped using the popular product and switched to Lastisse, the only FDA-approved eyelash growth serum. A medical prescription is required to use Latisse.
The redhead said that after a year she’s still “recovering” and warned others to be careful using these kinds of serums.
“For some people, it works,” she admitted but was not happy with her long-term results.
And she wasn’t the only one, several other people commented claiming to have also lost their eyelashes after using the serum.
“NO SAME,” @jf33n replied, with over 100 people liking the comment. “MY LASHES ARE GONE.”
“THIS HAPPEN RO ME TOO,” @xotwod420 wrote.
