This soccer season was jam-packed, with a World Cup taking place in the middle of the European soccer calendar, and the best players from both the United States and Canada went from August to May without really getting a breather.

Thus, the Yanks and Canucks opted to use the CONCACAF Gold Cup as an opportunity for some up-and-coming players to get some reps.
