USA soccer WAGs celebrate World Cup win over Iran: ‘Hell yes’
The wife of U.S. soccer goalkeeper Matt Turner summed up Tuesday’s win over Iran at the 2022 World Cup in two words: ‘Hell yes.”
Taking to her Instagram Stories from Al Thumama Stadium, Ash Turner — who has been supporting the 28-year-old goalkeeper in Qatar — posted a handful of videos from the U.S. men’s national team’s 1-0 victory against Iran, which propelled America out of Group B and into the Round of 16.
“Hell yes,” Ash captioned one video, which featured players running onto the pitch.
In a separate post, Ash can be seen embracing Turner, who also serves as a goalkeeper for Arsenal in the Premier League.
Beyond the Turners, who are proud parents to 5-month-old son Easton, USMNT defender Antonee Robinson also celebrated the win at the venue, where fiancée Darcy Myers joined him.
“Couldn’t be prouder!!!!!!” Myers exclaimed in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
Myers, who announced her engagement to 25-year-old Robinson in March, later gushed in an Instagram Story, “the journey continues,” as she waved an American flag in the stands.

In addition to Myers, the USMNT also received well-wishes from Brenden Aaronson’s longtime girlfriend Milana D’Ambra, who swooned over the 22-year-old winger in an Instagram Story.
“So proud of you always,” wrote D’Ambra, a soccer player at Temple University.
The USMNT will face the Netherlands on Saturday in the knockout round. Prior to advancing to the Round of 16, the Netherlands defeated Senegal last Monday, 2-0, and Qatar on Tuesday, 2-0. The team’s match against Ecuador last Friday resulted in a 1-1 draw.
