Pregnant Kelly Osbourne defends decision not to breastfeed

Pregnant Kelly Osbourne has yet to welcome her baby, but she’s already being mom-shamed for her decision not to breastfeed

“I have chosen to stay on my medication instead of breastfeeding and the judgment that I have received from my friends and also extended family [is wild],” the “Osbournes” alum said on Wednesday’s “Red Table Talk” episode.

While the former reality star has frequently been told that she is “gonna miss out on that bonding period,” she shakes off the comments.

“I’m like, ‘Don’t you think I know that?’” Osbourne, 37, said. “What kind of mother am I gonna be if I start going backwards, if I start being self-destructive?”

The “Fashion Police” alum explained that she has already learned that she “can’t pay attention” to other people’s opinions.

“It has to be what’s best for me, what’s gonna be the best for my baby,” Osbourne said.

Earlier in the episode, the expectant star gushed about her upcoming arrival — despite acknowledging that pregnancy is “one of the roughest, most weirdest, wildest” experiences she’s ever had.

The “really hormonal” actress said she has gained a newfound “respect” for her mother, Sharon Osbourne.

She and boyfriend Sid Wilson revealed in May that their first child is on the way.

“I know that I have been very quiet these past few months so I thought I would share with you all as to why,” Osbourne told her Instagram followers at the time. “I am over the moon to announce that I am going to be a Mumma.

“To say that I am happy does not quite cut it. I am ecstatic!” she concluded.

The “Red Table Talk” appearance marked one of the few times Osbourne has given glimpses of her baby bump.

Prior to the interview, the “Project Runway Junior” judge showed her budding belly at a family party in May and on what appeared to be a babymoon three months later.
