Plane passenger terrified after finding firecracker beneath her seat — with fuse fully visible

It was a flyer-cracker.

An airplane flight across China nearly ended with a bang after a passenger allegedly discovered a firecracker beneath her seat.

The unnamed passenger was flying a Shandong Airlines flight from Guilin to Xiamen on January 31 when she purportedly uncovered the incendiary device, Jam Press reported.

In a clip, which was filmed by the flyer and posted to Douyin (China’s answer to TikTok), the passenger is seen holding the cracker with the fuse clearly visible.

She subsequently called Shandong Airlines’ customer service to complain and is also cooperating with a police probe into the inflammatory incident.

It’s yet unclear how the firecracker ended up on the plane.

However, the find does coincide with the Chinese New Year celebrations, when these festive fireshooters are traditionally deployed — despite being restricted in most cities across the Middle Kingdom.

Authorities have since put out a PSA reminding the public that passengers are prohibited from bringing firecrackers — even fake ones — on flights.

This isn’t the first time someone has attempted to bring these combustibles on an aircraft.

In December, authorities with the Transportation Security Administration confiscated 82 fireworks, three folding knives, two fake guns and a canister of pepper spray from a woman at LAX.

“The traveling public is reminded that fireworks, which are a type of explosive, are never allowed on board an aircraft in carry-on or checked luggage,” the TSA wrote.
