Pete Davidson goes ‘hairless’ in men’s grooming ad
Pete Davidson got himself into a hairy situation for male grooming company Manscaped‘s newest ad.
The Staten Island native, 28, stars in a jokey 30-second ad for the razor label in which he talks about keeping things clean “down there.”
“Let’s show them how hairless we could be, boys,” he laughed in the clip as he holds up the brand’s Lawn Mower 4.0 product.
Davidson went on: “I’ve been using this guy long enough to where I think it’s time we went into business together.”
“Presentation matters! Don’t make me get specific ’cause I will,” the “Saturday Night Live” alum continued. “Shave it, baby.”
Davidson then revealed he’s “the new face, among other parts, of Manscaped.”
Paul Tran, founder of Manscaped, discussed why the comedian was the right choice to represent the company in a statement released on Monday.
“Pete is the perfect brand partner for Manscaped. Both his sense of humor and sense of self closely fit our brand voice and values,” the CEO said.
Tran pointed out, “One of those core values is to not take ourselves too seriously; it makes our brand approachable and allows for authentic connections with our fans.”
“We’re so fortunate to work with Pete who is incredibly talented and has a natural ability to connect with men and women all over the world in a similar fashion,” he said.
Davidson seems to be very into skincare lately, as his girlfriend Kim Kardashian recently revealed that the two like to bond over their acne.
During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last month, the reality star, 41, divulged that they “go to dermatologists together [and] we inject our pimples together.”
“The dermatologist is like, ‘Is this contagious? You guys always have pimples at the same time,’” the Skkn by Kim CEO said.
She went on to note that skincare is “one of our major bonding things,” and said she “knew it was special” between the lovebirds when Davidson smeared her acne medication while she was sleeping.
