Peacock Offers Free Premier League Games on Launch Day
NBCUniversal’s Peacock is bringing the Premier League to customers across the United States. Next Wednesday, July 15, Peacock will be celebrating its official launch day by offering customers free access to NBC Sports’ Premier League matches and studio coverage. The six hours of free programming will culminate in a must-see match between league favorite Arsenal and newly-crowned champion Liverpool, so soccer fans will have plenty to enjoy throughout the day.
Peacock’s Premier League coverage includes free access to four different games, as well as prematch, halftime, and postgame coverage from NBC Sports. Traditionally, these games would air on NBC Sports Network (NBCSN), but in an attempt to create corporate synergy, the new NBCUniversal streaming service will be opening up league play to cord-cutters, as well. Plus, there’s a bonus: all six hours of Premier League coverage will be presented without commercial interruption on Peacock. Say goodbye to those Duracell ads.
“Live sports makes Peacock unique among streaming services, and we are excited to present a free sample of matches to Premier League fans across the U.S.,” said Rick Cordella, EVP and Chief Revenue Officer, Peacock in a statement.
To get fans hyped up for the July 15 launch, Peacock will be hosting “Premier League Day” across its Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts. Follow Peacock on social for access to top Premier League plays, celebrations, and clips from at-home fans.
The full schedule of Peacock’s free Premier League coverage on July 15 is as follows:
12 p.m. ET: Premier League Live

1 p.m. ET: Manchester City v. Bournemouth

The Premier League promo is just one of Peacock’s many live sports ventures. On June 20, the Bournemouth-Crystal Palace Premier League match kicked off the streamer’s live sports schedule. In the months to come, Peacock will air a new primetime Sunday NFL Wild Card playoff game, Olympics and Paralympics coverage, the U.S. Open, and more events.
Peacock is currently available at no additional cost to Comcast Xfinity X1 and Flex customers. When the service launches on July 15, it will feature a free, ad-supported tier with access to more than 7,500 movies and shows, a premium tier (with ads) for $4.99/month, and a premium, ad-free tier for $9.99/month.
