My face tattoo fell off just 3 days after I was inked
So much for being permanent.
A woman’s viral TikTok clip showed her face tattoo that she claims “fell” off her cheek, despite getting inked just three days prior.
Aliana, who hails from Pittsburgh, had had the body art done in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as documented at the top of the 9-second post.
“Three days later it FELL OFF MY FACE,” the text then read a few seconds later in the video, which so far has amassed 1.9 million views
But the TikToker is no tattoo novice — her body is covered in various pieces of ink — so this came as a surprise.
In the clip, she showed what the tattoo looked like right after she received it, then showed the piece of ink on her fingers.
The phenomenon is known as “ink fall out,” according to Inked Magazine, and can happen as a result of the artist not going deep enough when tattooing.
“[Ink fall out] can also occur if you pick or scratch the scabs of your tattoos as well,” reported the outlet.
The Post reached out to Aliana for comment.
Several commenters were quick to sympathize with Aliana.
“Nobody believes me when I tell them my thigh tattoo fell off,” said one user.
“I got a tat done in ft Lauderdale too, it literally didn’t stay in my skin and was done terribly. Idk y cuz my others are fine,” wrote another.
“I’m a self-taught tattoo artist, this can happen if the tattoo artist did not tattoo into the lower level of the skin he just tattooed the top layer,” explained a third person.
The Pennsylvania-based TikToker also got her share of hate with many people saying that the tattoo fall-off was “a sign” that she shouldn’t get it redone.
“It’s a sign, you’re really pretty don’t mess with it,” said one user.
“God gave you a second chance,” another said.
In a follow-up video with 53,200 views Alaina showed followers the complete design firmly in place near her eyes.
