Mauro Icardi flies home to confront Wanda Nara over Instagram post
Football star Mauro Icardi is reported to have flown halfway around the world to confront wife Wanda Nara after she posted images of herself kissing a rapper in Argentina.
The couple’s messy split has become even in uglier in recent days after the Instagram star was spotted kissing rap artist L-Gante in a bowling alley.
Nara, 35, has confirmed her new romance by starring in the 22-year-old’s new music video El Ultimo Romantico, which shows the pair in bed together kissing.
The video by L-Gante — whose real name Elian Angel Valenzuela — has racked up seven million views in less than a week.
Icardi last month took a public swipe at his estranged partner, calling her “toxic” while claiming she attempted to control his life.
The Argentinian footballer, who is currently playing for Turkish giant Galatasaray after being loaned out by Paris Saint-Germain, has now responded to Nara’s recent public posts by posting on his Instagram page: “She is the laughing stock of the whole world with her behavior, with her attitudes.
“The truth is that I’m not ready to continue to support this and defend the indefensible.”
Media in Argentina has reported Icardi has flown to the country to confront Nara.
Nara is more than a decade older than her new squeeze but it hasn’t stopped their public displays of affection.
After being spotted together in Argentina, Wanda then shared pictures of the pair on social media with a short video of them getting close.
Nara recently accused ex-Southampton star Dani Osvaldo of hitting on her while she was with Icardi, The Sun reports.
Icardi and Nara were married in 2014. They both confirmed they had split last month.
“It is very painful for me to live this moment. But given my exposure and the things that are transcending and the media speculation, it is preferable that they know about it from me,” Nora wrote.
“I have nothing more to clarify and I am not going to give any kind of detail about this separation. Please, I ask that you understand not only for me, but also for our children.”
The couple shares two children — Francesca, 7, and Isabella, 5.
Icardi responded by posting private messages between the two on social media.
“When you are single, or you say you are, but you are toxic,” he wrote.
In another Instagram story, he posted the message: “Now you want to manage my life separately too?”
The Argentine ended up deleting the messages from his social media.
However, he did then post a picture blowing a kiss to the camera, tagging Wanda in it alongside a heart and kissing emoji.
