Lionel Messi, Antonela Roccuzzo browse Florida homes after Miami move
Lionel Messi is putting down Florida roots.
The new Inter Miami superstar, 36, was seen on a recent house-hunting trip in Boca Raton with his wife, Antonela Roccuzzo, and their 10-year-old son, Thiago.
Messi wore a black T-shirt and white pants for the outing while the 35-year-old Roccuzzo — who has been married to the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner since 2017 — opted for white shorts and a black tank top.
Thiago, one of the couple’s three sons, sported an Inter Miami jersey with his dad’s name on the back.
Roccuzzo, who also shares sons Mateo, 7, and Ciro, 5, with Messi, can be seen standing and talking on the deck of one of the houses before getting back into the car, along with her family.
Messi reportedly owns a $9 million apartment in Miami that overlooks Sunny Isle Beach.
The luxury property was said to be purchased in 2019.
Boca Raton is about an hour north of Miami but only 25 minutes from DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale — Messi’s new professional home.
The World Cup winner’s contract with Inter Miami runs through 2025 and he will reportedly receive between $50 and $60 million per year.
Messi has had an explosive start with the squad, netting three goals in two games.
He scored the game-winning free kick in his July debut against Cruz Azul before scoring two goals in the first 22 minutes of a match versus Atlanta United FC.
Off the pitch, Messi and Roccuzzo are enjoying their new surroundings.
David Beckham, who co-owns Inter Miami, and his wife, Victoria, have helped Messi and Roccuzzo adjust to the Miami lifestyle.
The two couples were seen at dinner together last Thursday at Gekko, a celebrity hot spot that is co-owned by Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny and restaurateur David Grutman.
Inter Miami is back in action on Wednesday when they’ll face Orlando City in the round of 32 as part of the Leagues Cup.
