Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff and his law firm accused of misogyny, inappropriate behavior
Second gentleman Doug Emhoff is being accused of acting anything but gentlemanly during his time at a prestigious LA law firm, according to a new report.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband allegedly hired a “trophy secretary” and retaliated against women in the office who didn’t return his flirtatious overtures, according the Daily Mail and a lawsuit filed against the Venable firm.
Underlings of Emhoff, who ran Venable’s Los Angeles office from 2006 to 2017, called him names like “a–hole” and “misogynist,” according to the Mail — which did not name the employees.
A former staffer said Emhoff once boasted about shouting at a female partner at the firm to “get the f–k out of my office,” later telling several male colleagues he had “put her in her place.”
One female ex-staff member at the firm said Emhoff’s alleged bad behavior was well known by those in the office, and that he had a reputation for being “very flirty” with female colleagues. Those who didn’t respond positively landed on his “s–t list” or were subject to retaliation, the outlet writes.
Neither the Harris-Walz campaign nor Venable responded to The Post’s request for comment Tuesday.
