I’m a model — in tears over my time ‘running out’

She may be easy on the eyes — but her job isn’t.

Hayley Williams, 23, posted a tearful video talking about the realities of modeling, detailing the brutal rejections she faces daily while trying to pursue her dream.

The model, who is signed to Wilhelmina Models, candidly explained in a recent video she hadn’t landed a job in over four months, emotionally admitting her savings is starting to “run out.”

Although she is adamant she doesn’t want to “give up” her dream, she confessed it “feels impractical to keep pursuing something that is not happening for her.”

“It feels so stupid to be complaining about this, but I want to talk about the reality of pursuing a career in modeling,” Williams, who also works as a nanny, began in the TikTok, which has now been viewed more than 24,500 times.

“It is an industry that has a lot of rejection. To get rejected and put back again over and over,” she said, tearfully continuing.

Williams, who was born in the UK but now lives between New York and London, said it only gets more difficult the older she gets.

“I started modeling when I was 19 years old and now I’m 23, turning 24 in two months,” she explained, adding she feels like her time is “running out.”

“As I get older, I’m always put on hold for a job and then it falls through,” she said sadly. “I haven’t had serious work in four months.”

Despite her struggles, she doesn’t want to pursue another career — but still needs some income.

“There’s an element of survival, you know, I need to make enough money to live,” she stressed.

“I’ve taken a huge risk to move to another country and live off of my savings to try and pursue modeling,” she said determinedly.

Although acknowledging she’s “super lucky” to be in the position she’s in, Williams said it was still incredibly frustrating.

“‘Money runs out as time goes on,” she pointed out. “I am so grateful to be in a position to do this and go after my dream, but it’s very, very frustrating.”

Many people took to the comment section to offer the young model some advice and encouragement.

“Keep going but I would recommend a plan B too, because most models I know have a back up plan/do other passions when they aren’t booking,” one user suggested.

“Rejection makes you more strong, don’t give up! Hey good thing happens in times come,” cheered another. “Loved your content in TikTok! Good luck dear!”
