This menu might make your stomach churn.
A former vegan is touting her “high fat carnivore diet,” which consists of noshing on sticks of butter and whipping up a 10-egg scramble every single day.
The TikToker, known only as @steakandbuttergal, shared her cholesterol-heavy daily eating plan in a clip that has racked up 1.2 million views since it was posted last week.
After biting into a stick of butter, the content creator explained that she scrambles 10 eggs in beef tallow — or beef fat — followed by a dinner of sautéed 80/20 ground beef and 12 soft poached eggs.
She champions her unorthodox carnivorous diet for her lean physique and her saturated fat consumption for her boosted libido, weight loss and nonexistent sugar cravings.
Various research, however, indicates otherwise.
Too much saturated fat can increases the level of LDL cholesterol — otherwise known as “bad” cholesterol — and subsequently raise the risk of heart disease, according to Healthline.
Healthy adults are advised to limit their consumption of eggs to seven per week and only one to two servings of red meat per week.
There is conflicting evidence regarding diet and libido — some experts claim beef is a little-known bedroom secret, while others argue that consuming too much fatty foods, such as red meat, could actually disrupt blood flow, including to the nether-regions.
While the TikToker touted her strictly carnivorous diet, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advise the average adult to consume 1.5 to 2 cups of fruit and 2 to 3 cups of vegetables every day for optimal health.
Viewers of @steakandbutterfal voiced their concerns for her strict animal byproduct diet, questioning how she’s able to stomach the astronomical amount of eggs and meat in a single day.
“Sounds delicious but what about cholesterol do you have to worry about that or no just eat the eggs in moderation?” inquired one person.
“I honestly would be so interested to know what their lipids panel look like,” snarked another.
“So many eggs,” one flabbergasted viewer wrote. “I would throw up really.”
But she isn’t the only one who’s ditching salads for scrambles, dairy and meat. One fitness influencer swears by her diet of bone broth and raw liver, while an ex-vegan claimed her hair, teeth and nails improved by only eating animal products.
In 2022, TikToker Courtney Luna went viral for breaking down her carnivorous diet of cream, butter, steak, bacon, eggs and burgers after boasting that her diet helped her shed 30 pounds.
