I tried on my grandma’s old clothes — she’s a ‘baddy’

Looks like this granny’s got style.

A TikToker stunned the internet when trying on her grandma’s old clothes, revealing outfits that are stylish even in 2022.

Alyssa Milleza captioned her viral clip, “My grandma was a fashion icon,” while showing more than 32,000 viewers the various ‘fits she discovered in the closet of her grandma, who is in her late 60s.

Shopping smarter and second-hand — or even from your grandparents’ closet — has gained popularity this year among Gen Z who would rather opt for thrifty finds than purchase new.

According to the 2023 Instagram Trend Report, the survey in partnership with WGSN showed Gen Zers were more interested in sustainability instead of fast fashion.

“More than half of Gen Z respondents said they plan to DIY their clothes in 2023,” the report reads, noting that “in 2023 more Gen Z consumers plan to thrift their clothing.”

First up, Milleza, who regularly posts TikToks of her outfits, tried black slacks and a red bustier top with black lace — corset tops like these are all the rage this year. Next, she donned a silky black top with a dainty tie in the back, then a cherry red tank.

She also unearthed a see-through, lacey long-sleeve, a black and red Puma zip-up, a velvet, floral top and a flowy, off-the-shoulder blouse adorned with flowers.

TikTokers were floored by her grandma’s sense of style, applauding the “slaying” gram.
