I ordered shoes from ASOS — and was told to wait 800 days for delivery

Online shoppers may get a kick out of this.

A woman from Ireland went viral this week when she posted an email claiming her ASOS order of New Balance sneakers would take at least 803 business days to arrive “due to a delay with our delivery partner.”

“My friend ordered a parcel on my ASOS, and it will arrive 803 working days later than expected. She just has to wait 26 months for the parcel,” Kerri Kinsella quipped Wednesday in a Twitter post that has snapped up more than 12,000 likes.

Kinsella, 30, told Jam Press that she had paid for ASOS next-day delivery for an entire year — which made the whole sole-crushing experience even more puzzling.

One Twitter user responded to Kinsella’s post with his own alleged ASOS late-delivery notice. The order date was Dec. 11, and the buyer was told the item “will now arrive 2,040 working days later than expected.”

The parcel is due in March 2031 if you exclude weekends and holidays.

An ASOS spokesperson told Jam Press: “We’re aware that some customers have received emails stating their parcel won’t be delivered for quite a while.”

The fashion retailer’s statement continued: “We’re sorry for the mistake caused by a technical issue on our side, which has now been resolved. We’ve contacted all the impacted customers to inform them that their parcels are arriving one day later than planned — not one decade!”

The kicks Kinsella’s friend ordered on Dec. 12 were supposed to be delivered by Fastway Couriers, according to Jam Press. The company did not return a request for comment from the outlet. There are several Reddit threads taking issue with the business’ service in Ireland.

Kinsella and her friend didn’t go postal over the situation — instead they shared a chuckle.

“I was thinking to myself, the trainers she ordered would probably be in fashion now, go out of fashion and arrive back in fashion by the time they are delivered!” Kinsella snickered.

“We laughed about it, but it just confirmed to never, ever trust ASOS next-day delivery.”

Twitter users also had a field day in the comments.

One person posted: “I’d nearly keep it just to see if it actually arrives in 803 days LOL.”

“Hope this is a glitch,” noted someone else.

Another person delivered the classic line, “Better late than never.”

“OMG hope it’s worth the wait,” a commenter penned.
