I gave in to my husband’s threesome dream — as his 40th birthday gift

Good things come in threes.

Acclaimed author Pamela Druckerman has dished dirty details on the threesome she had with her husband for his 40th birthday.

The Paris-based scribe, 53, made the ménage à trois confession in her best-selling tome, “There Are No Grown-Ups: A Midlife Coming-of-Age Story,” adapted into a Daily Mail column on Thursday.

Druckerman is married to author Simon Kuper, 53, with whom she shares three children. According to her new book, the couple’s threesome took place back in 2009, when Kuper marked his milestone birthday.

“For his 40th, I decide to buy him a vintage watch,” Druckerman divulged in her column about the tryst. “But when I mention the watch, he says that what he really wants isn’t a good, but a service: a threesome with me and another woman.”

“I’d always brushed it off with an eye roll and an ‘in your dreams.’ “

Despite previously finding the idea “unappealing,” the writer reconsidered, stating, “I pity him heading into his 40s consigned to sleeping with the same woman (me) for the rest of his life. I like what the threesome signifies: that we aren’t sliding quietly into middle age.”

Druckerman subsequently embarked on a mission to find a female to join her and her husband in the bedroom, believing that “the ideal woman would be a sexy acquaintance.”

However, the pervy pursuit hit roadblocks, with one “friend of a friend” turning down the proposal.

“Planning the threesome has become another of the administrative tasks I do in our marriage,” Druckerman wrote.

However, the intrepid author refused to be deterred, intent on giving her spouse the frisky 40th birthday gift of his dreams.

“I now notice women everywhere: browsing in shoe stores; in queues at the supermarket. I even scan my book group — middle-aged women who like to read about the Holocaust — for candidates,” she saucily stated.

However, upon failing to find a suitable woman in real life, Druckerman turned to the internet, where she came across a perfect match.

“N claims to be a straight, divorced mum in her late 40s,” she wrote of the woman with whom she started exchanging emails.

Druckerman and the woman later met up in person, with the author describing the potential bed-buddy as “a pretty, slim brunette with a friendly face.”

After multiple meetings, the author asked N to join her and her husband for sex — and she agreed.

“We schedule the threesome for a week later, at lunchtime, at the small apartment my husband uses as an office,” Druckerman dished.

In the column, the amorous author didn’t hold back in describing the erotic encounter, saying her husband was immediately affectionate with N from the moment they all undressed.

“A threesome is so, well, sexual,” Druckerman declared. “I’d focused so much on the organization and the catering, I had almost forgotten that we were going to be naked.”

While Druckerman claimed that there was a lot of “moaning” between the three of them, she insisted it was a “polite” encounter overall.

“After about 40 minutes, I’ve had enough,” she stated. “I wonder whether I might check my email. N is quite beautiful, but seeing versions of my own lady parts on her feels too familiar. I realize that part of what appeals to me about men is that their bodies are different.”

The author added that her horny husband and N continued to have sex for around another 20 minutes.

“Finally, they tire themselves out,” Druckerman recalled in the column. “There’s a sweet moment at the end when the three of us lie together under the covers, with the birthday boy in the middle. He’s beaming. I’ll later get a series of heartfelt thank-you notes, saying it was as good as he’d hoped.”

Meanwhile, N was also left satisfied by the experience and even proposed a second threesome with the couple.

“I’m flattered, but I’m not planning on it,” Druckerman wrote. “My own birthday is coming up, and I think I’d like a watch.”
