How to watch the 2023 Women’s World Cup: TV & streaming schedule
The ninth Women’s World Cup is set to takeoff Thursday, July 20 and all the month-long action can be caught on Fox and FS1, along with the network’s digital platforms and apps.
The tournament will take place between co-hosts Australia and New Zealand, hosting 30 other teams who qualified for the world spectacle from their particular confederation tournaments or playoffs.
To start, the 32 national teams are divided into eight groups with each comprising of four teams, playing each opponent in competition for a knockout round qualification. Only two teams per group will advance.
The tournament will go into the round of sixteen followed by the subsequent rounds of the quarterfinals, semifinals, third place final, and World Cup final.
The United States women are in the lead with four titles in the past eight years (1991, 1999, 2015, 2019) and are the defending champions entering this year’s tournament. Germany has won two (2003, 2007), and Norway (1995) and Japan (2011) each hold one World Cup championship.
