High heels pain remedy stuns stiletto lovers: ‘Omgggg gotta try’
Tape is all your little piggies need to make it to the market.
UK-based shoe company EGO Official revealed that clear tape is the solution to walking in heels without pain.
In a 10-second TikTok clip with more than 10 million views, a model shares a technique that won’t have you wobbling home after a long night in heels.
The model suggests taping the third and fourth toes together to help release pressure and improve comfort.
The video’s caption declares that the adhesive “helps you last longer in your heels, girls [so] you can stay grooving.”
After she secures her piggies with tape, the model straps up her 5-inch “Superlit lace up square toe sculptured” stilettos.
“Omgggg gotta try bc my toes look like this,” gushed a heel fanatic.
One viewer agreed with the strategy, saying, “The nerves that control the most pain come from the nerves between the 3rd and 4th toe-…by bringing the 2 together, you are releasing the pressure.”
“The things a girl has to do,” added another.
While some heel lovers can’t wait to try the new hack, others believe it’s complete crap.
“It’s uncomfortable to even look at this. I know how tired your feet were after five minutes of wearing those shoes,” commented an anti-heels watcher.
“This shoe is so cute, but I can tell it hurts, lol,” another chimed in.
“Clear band-Aid would be better because it has cushion,” a viewer suggested.
“All fun and games till they toes start sweating,” quipped one person. “Just put on your slippers.”
Although some people have no plans to suffer in heels, the ones who do may have a better chance of being viewed as attractive by their male counterparts.
A study published in Personality and Individual Differences found that women are perceived as more appealing on various levels when wearing high heels.
Researchers surveyed 448 participants, who were shown two silhouettes of women with or without high heels.
The woman in high heels was perceived as being more sexually and physically attractive, feminine and of higher status by most of those surveyed.
“While women’s fashion constantly evolves, this research aligns well with previous research that men perceive women in high heels as more attractive than those in flat shoes,” the report read.
