Gwyneth Paltrow reveals she’s done rectal ozone therapy

Wellness guru Gwyneth Paltrow would “rather smoke crack than eat cheese from a tin,” but when it comes to getting rectal ozone therapy, she’s all in.

During an appearance this week on “The Art of Being Well” podcast with Dr. Will Cole, the Goop goddess, 50, revealed the “weirdest wellness thing” that she’s ever done — and it’s unbuttelivable.

“I have used ozone therapy, uh, rectally,” Paltrow admitted during the podcast, which was posted in a clip on TikTok.

“It’s pretty weird. But very, it’s been very helpful.”

Ozone therapy, according to the Cleveland Clinic, is when medical-grade ozone gas, created by using an ozone generator device, is administered to your body.

While ozone gas is made in nature, the Food and Drug Administration called it a “toxic” substance that “can be injurious to health” in a 2019 warning.

There are multiple methods to deliver including blowing it in your rectum like Paltrow claims she has done.

It can also be distributed by mixing it with your blood, applying it to the skin, injecting in into a muscle, or ingesting it, according to Cleveland Clinic.

The Post reached out to a rep for Paltrow’s company, Goop, for comment.

Although there is only “limited evidence” regarding the benefits of ozone therapy, some believe that it can help to improve blood circulation, boost the immune system, defend from bacteria and fungi and reduce “oxidative stress,” which is something caused by an imbalance of oxygen reactive species in your cells.

However, in 2019, the FDA put out a warning against using the therapy and issued guidelines about the amount of gas that can be safely used in these devices.

They stated that “ozone is a toxic gas with no known useful medical application in specific, adjunctive, or preventive therapy.”

However, having ozone gas blown up your bottom is not the only thing that health hack Paltrow has spoken about trying.

She once gushed over the benefits of “vaginal eggs,” a rotund, jade stone that you can put up your vagina, which she sold on her wellness website, Goop.

However, in 2018, she settled a lawsuit for $145,000 after she was accused of making false promises about the eggs’ benefits and another essential oil that was for sale on Goop — including that the oil can help to prevent depression.

And, while on the same podcast earlier this week, she shared her “wellness routine,” which included drinking bone broth for lunch, a half hour in her infrared sauna and coffee that won’t “spike” her blood sugar.
