Flight attendant’s hotel safety hack requires one simple thing
A flight attendant shared a clever hotel safety hack that only requires one thing — a water bottle.
Esther Sturrus, who works for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, recommends throwing a water bottle under the bed to see if it will come out the other side to be sure an intruder isn’t hiding underneath.
The tip avoids having to look under the bed and potentially come face-to-face with someone lurking there.
It also works with toiletries or drinks cans, the US Sun reported.
Of course, the extra precaution is only necessary with the kinds of beds that have space underneath to hide, Sturrus notes in the video.
Some praised the “great tip” while others thought it was a little paranoid.
“How many times [have] you found someone under your bed?” one commenter said. “That seems crazy.”
Sturrus shares viral travel hacks with her 224,000 followers, including using a hanger with pant clips to hold together curtains that won’t close properly.
Another is to use an upside down paper cup with a hole poked in the bottom as a toothbrush holder.
