Donor who bought Hunter Biden’s art visited White House a dozen times

A Democratic donor who purchased a piece of artwork by first son Hunter Biden — and was later appointed to a prestigious commission — visited the White House 13 times in the past year and a half, visitor logs show.

Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali attended several crowded events with President Biden between September 2022 and March 2023 — and also enjoyed a one-on-one meeting with White House senior adviser Neera Tanden, the Washington Free Beacon first reported.

Naftali also met with White House policy adviser Richard Figueroa twice and had other visits to the West Wing and East Wing of the executive mansion.

The Democratic donor and “friend” of the first son purchased one of his works of art from the Georges Bergès Gallery of Manhattan, according to sales records published on Monday by Business Insider.

No date or price for the sale of Hunter’s art was available.

Naftali — a Los Angeles-based real estate investor and philanthropist — has donated more than $13,000 to Biden’s 2024 campaign and $36,500 to the Democratic National Committee this year.

Biden appointed Naftali to his Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad in July 2022 — roughly eight months after Hunter’s first art show in Hollywood.

A Biden administration official said former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) recommended Naftali for the position, and that the art deal was not responsible.

Hunter Biden has earned at least $1.3 million from his art so far, according to Business Insider, with one anonymous patron buying 11 pieces of art for $875,000.

Another reported buyer is Hunter’s “sugar brother” Kevin Morris, a wealthy lawyer who reportedly loaned him $2 million to pay off back taxes.

The House Oversight Committee has requested details of Hunter’s art sales, but Bergès has denied access. Republican leaders have also expressed concern about further influence-peddling being made possible through the purchases.

The Oversight Committee has combed through bank records and other financial information of Biden family members and Hunter’s business associates, revealing they raked tens of millions of dollars from foreign nationals in the past decade.

The first son sold five prints for a total of $375,000 at his Hollywood show, The Post previously reported.

In 2021, the White House said all sales are “anonymous” to Hunter to avoid the appearance of corruption.

“We still do not know and will not know who purchases any paintings,” former White House press secretary Jen Psaki said.

Richard Painter, chief ethics lawyer for former President George W. Bush, said the distinction would make no difference.

“Buyers buy artwork to hang on the wall, not put in a closet,” he said, pointing out that any anonymity would be limited.

Hunter’s longtime business partner Eric Schwerin was also appointed to the preservation board in 2015, which he later thanked the first son for when he was reappointed two years later, according to an email on Hunter’s laptop.
