Cops in Alaska rescue hog named Elvis Pigsley on roadside

He ain’t nothin’ but a round hog.

Police in Anchorage, Alaska, rescued a pet porker named Elvis Pigsley from a frosty roadside after an onlooker reported that the critter “looked cold,” according to cops.

Officers said they loaded the shivering swine into their cruiser and, well, brought home the bacon.

“As it turns out, the portly dude was quite friendly. You’ll be happy to know he has been reunited with his family and all is well,” the Anchorage Police Department wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

Police said the pig was very friendly.

“We’re all familiar with refrigerated bacon, we just never thought we’d respond to a call for service related to that topic.”

Observers squealed with glee over an adorable photo showing The King of the barnyard poking his adorable pink snout out the window of the police vehicle.

“Glad the cold porker made it home,” one local wrote on Facebook, while the nearby Homer Police Department quipped, “Hogwash. It was a Hambush!”

It wasn’t immediately clear when the officers brought the pig on boar’d or how he got loose.
