Car flips over on busy highway, driver chases other motorist with knife in wild road rage incident: video
Footage of the insane moment a car mounted another before flipping onto its roof and its driver got out and allegedly brandished a knife has emerged.
The driver of a Holden Astra was on Tuesday seen maneuvering erratically on Victoria Australia’s Princes Highway in Tynong North, 43 miles east of Melbourne, Australia about 4 p.m.
It had reportedly been tailgating a sedan before it attempted a sideswipe while overtaking, but ended up driving up its side, 7News reported.
Dramatic footage showed the moment it flipped onto its roof before its driver got out and allegedly threatened the other motorist with the weapon.
“Oh my god, bet he regrets that,” the person filming could be heard saying.
After allegedly producing the knife, the driver of the sedan – who by that point was also out of the car – began running away.
Drivers in surrounding vehicles had all stopped, with some seen helping to separate the pair while waiting for police to arrive.
Victoria Police arrested a 50-year-old Morwell man after arriving at the scene.
The man was charged with reckless conduct endangering serious injury, driving in a manner dangerous, careless driving, criminal damage, unlawful assault, assault with a weapon, and possessing a controlled weapon.
There were shockingly no injuries obtained in the incident.
The man has been released on bail and was expected to appear at Dandenong Magistrate’s Court on November 3.
