Passenger irritates fellow flyers by preparing dessert from scratch at her seat: ‘Dumbest s–t I’ve seen all day’
She’s doing her own in-flight catering.
A gallivanting gourmet has managed to cook up a controversy — after she decided to prepare a from-scratch dessert on a recent flight.
Federica Rossi, an Italian food vlogger, whipped up a luscious cheesecake while sitting in a window seat on a Ryanair flight — and even recorded the surprising stunt.
A 35-second Instagram clip, which managed to snag over 1.9 million views, detailed the somewhat puzzling process.
The resident of Torino, Italy, used the aircraft as her kitchen space to create the sweet treat in under 15 minutes.
First, Rossi pulls out a small baking pan, layering the bottom with what appears to be a crumble crust — adding butter and honey to sweeten.
Then, she adds soft cream cheese on top.
The galloping gourmet finishes off her crazy creation with a sweet strawberry jam coating.
Many people online found the aircraft bake session to be unnecessary and inconsiderate.
“Do people not realize commercial flights are shared with other passengers?” questioned one person.
“Welp, there it is, the dumbest sh-t I’ve seen all day,” sighed one watcher.
“So we can use your aircraft as kitchens, and you haven’t mentioned it to us before?” wrote a jokester.
“Can y’all stop being so insufferable for a couple of likes? I know the flight attendants were talking mad sh-t about this nonsense,” commented a concerned viewer.
Rossi responded to negative comments, letting onlookers know that her baking hack did not impact fellow passengers’ flight experience.
“I cleaned before and especially after. It took me 15 minutes in silence. I didn’t leave even a crumb, and I ate the cake with my two friends who were next to me,” she commented online.
She did not detail how she managed to get all of the ingredients to the airport, through security and onboard her flight.
Despite Rossi’s unconventional baking method, passengers on the Ryanair flight probably preferred the smells of sweet strawberry cheesecake lingering in the plane compared to the stench of a tuna sandwich.
In another episode of gastronomy on the go, a passenger documented how someone on their flight chowed down on a tuna melt, which left a fishy aroma throughout the aircraft.
“Why are we eating a tuna melt on a flight?!?” Zavier Torrence wrote on TikTok of a fellow passenger’s controversial meal choice on a Delta flight to Tampa, Florida. “[I] strongly believe that people who eat on flights need to be incarcerated for 10 days.”
Many travelers resonated with Torrence’s disgust in the fishy meal, while others believe people should freel free to eat – as long as it doesn’t carry a smell.
“Hell yeah, I’m eating. Just not a tuna melt,” admitted one person.
“Fish of any kind on a plane is diabolical,” a watcher chimed in.
