Actress ripped for doing full body workout in middle of airplane aisle: ‘Idiot of the Year award’

This flight ended up looking like a jazzercise class in the sky.

A Mexican ex-soap opera star and fitness influencer was ripped online after performing a full “body pump” workout during a long-haul flight.

And naturally, fellow passengers didn’t take kindly to her air-obics routine.

Barbara de Regil, who regularly shares her workout routines with her 9 million Instagram followers, had reportedly been traveling with her husband Fernando Schoenwald to an unknown destination, local media reported.

Due to the length of the trip, the social media star decided to unwind by exercising inflight.

“Those movements that you see, hahaha, are to avoid thrombosis and, above all, I don’t know about you, but I can’t sit for that long,” declared de Regil while defending her air-obics session. Jam Press

“I’m feeling crazy after nearly 35 hours in the air on planes,” said de Regil, 37, who notably appeared on the Latin American telenovelas “Lalola” and “Rosario Tijeras.”

Instead of doing some light stretching or walking down the aisle, the bombshell opted to execute an intense, multistep full-body workout in the middle of the cabin.

The footage shows the gym bunny, who is clad in an eyemask and pajamas, running in place in the aisle. She then proceeds to perform a series of squat jumps as if she’s in a CrossFit class in the sky.

All the while, her husband can be seen nonchalantly scrolling through his phone while sitting in his seat.

Online viewers weren’t amused by de Regil’s airplane pilates session.

“Planes don’t have showers, she must stink,” commented one, while another wrote, “This ridiculous lady has already won the Idiot of the Year award.”

“That’s unbearable,” said a third.

Others accused de Regil of being addicted to working out. However, the celeb has dismissed the criticism, insisting that she simply can’t remain sedentary for extended periods and that she also wanted to prevent blood clots from forming.

“Those movements that you see, hahaha, are to avoid thrombosis and, above all, I don’t know about you, but I can’t sit for that long,” she declared.
