Bride super glues her ears to her head for wedding day
Well, ear comes the bride!
Desperate to obtain a gorgeous look for her wedding, a Brazilian bride glued her protruding ears to the back of her neck with a strong adhesive, hiding their true shape in the hopes of achieving big day perfection.
“Today’s bride asked for a high bun but didn’t want her ears to show,” beautician Mí Martins penned in the caption of her viral Instagram Reels video, featuring the ear-adhering beauty hack.
In the clip, which drummed up a whopping 20.2 million views, Martins showcased a small tube of Three Bond Super 1000 glue before popping its top off and lathering up the back of bride Lorena Mendes’ ear with the transparent adhesive.
Martins then pressed the sticky flesh back onto Mendes’ head, holding the ear in place so that it would remain stabilized in its new position.
And after gluing it down, Mendes added more pressure to her pasted body parts for good measure.
The stylist claimed the future Mrs. had been super-gluing her own ears for years.
“By herself, she’s already used this glue technique for some time!!” Martins explained in the caption of the post, which featured before and after shots of Mendes. “And today was no different at her wedding.”
However, while the wife-to-be beamed with joy over her new look, online haters virtually hounded her and Martins with an earful of shade.
“This is too crazy,” exclaimed an outraged Instagram commentator.
“I would never hide anything of mine, no matter how much it wasn’t perfect,” scoffed another, in part.
Others deemed the sticky glam trick “absurd” and an “atrocity.”
But, some less judgmental spectators applauded the hack, and even confessed to pulling the sticky stunt on their own big day.
“I did this at my wedding,” admitted an online audience member. “I had a dream to wear a bun and crown and [my wiggly ears weren’t going] to stop me.”
“This technique is worth millions,” another cheered.
