Crocs to release Shrek-inspired clogs: ‘Ugliest shoes ever’

What are you doing in my Crocs?

Crocs is unveiling a swampy new collaboration with everyone’s most beloved ogre, Shrek, The Post can confirm.

“Crocs and Shrek are the ultimate swampy sole-mates from a land far, far away,” a spokesperson for the shoe brand told The Post.

The new “wonderfully hideous” version of the brand’s Classic Clog is inspired by the animated character’s aesthetics, with a slime-green base to match the ogre’s skin tone.

Fuzzy brown heel straps mimic Shrek’s trademark vest, and detachable charms, called Jibbitz, decorate the front of the shoes in the shapes of the character’s ears and nose are attached at the forefront. Shrek branding is also plastered onto the sides and underfoot.

The limited-edition Crocs use the classic clog as a “vehicle of self-expression, reimagining Shrek’s beloved irreverence.”

The all-new shoes will be available starting Sept. 13 at 12 p.m. ET on crocs.com, Crocs’ retail stores and through select wholesale partners worldwide.

The Classic DreamWorks Shrek Clogs come in a range of adult sizes for $59.99, kids’ sizes for $49.99 and toddler sizes for $44.99.

“But why,” someone questioned.

“if i see you in Shrek Crocs i’m calling the police,” one quipped.

The release of the new clog comes on the heels of Crocs entering the jokey-yet-high-fashion sphere with the brand teaming up with MSCHF to make the Brooklyn label’s viral Big Red Boot in yellow.

The cartoonish-looking footwear is modeled by Paris Hilton — and she posted a video of her needing assistance as she struggled to get the oversize shoes off her feet.

Meanwhile, Shrek never goes out of style.

A fifth installment of the “Shrek” franchise was greenlighted in April, and it will feature the original voice actors.

“We anticipate the cast coming back. Talks are starting now, and every indication that we’ve gotten is there’s tremendous enthusiasm on behalf of the actors to return,” Chris Meledandri, CEO and founder of the studio Illumination Entertainment, told Variety at the time.

The first “Shrek” film was released in 2001, and the franchise later became a pop-culture staple and has spawned several memes and iconic moments.
