Drunk woman goes berserk, kicked off flight to Ibiza: video
A woman was captured in shocking video brawling on a Ryanair flight after she allegedly barged into other passengers while drunk before it took off to Ibiza.
Footage captured by Lyndsay Cash shows the pink-top-wearing woman arguing with another passenger a few minutes before the planned departure from Manchester, United Kingdom, to the Spanish island at 3 p.m. Monday, Kennedy News and Media reported.
After a brief scuffle, the out-of-control woman is pulled away in a headlock.
“I will find you!” a woman believed to be the one in pink is heard shouting repeatedly.
The livid passenger continues the shouting match as men believed to be her relatives join the fray, the video shows.
A man in a green shirt is seen pulling the woman away as he tries to deal with the other people involved in the fight – at one point also pushing one passenger and screaming into another’s face.
“She was barging into everyone the second she got on the plane,” Cash, a beautician from Wigan, Greater Manchester, told the news outlet.
“She was drunk and when someone pointed that out she took offense and started kicking off with everyone. They just started fighting in the aisle and it got really aggressive,” she said.
Police removed the woman and three other people from the plane to applause.
“The stewardesses weren’t much use and kids were upset. I wasn’t happy with the way it was managed. It annoyed me and everyone else on the plane. Everyone clapped as she got escorted off and she even fought with police,” Cash said.
“I don’t think she should have been let on the plane and I think the stewards should have been much quicker. It was left for the passengers to deal with. If you can’t handle it, don’t drink,” she added.
A Greater Manchester police spokesperson confirmed there was fracas on the plane before takeoff.
“Officers were called at around 3 p.m. yesterday to reports of disruptive passengers on board a flight taking off from Manchester Airport,”
“Two men in their 30s and one woman, also in her 30s, have all been arrested on suspicion of being drunk on board an aircraft,” the rep said.
“One of the men and the woman were further arrested on suspicion of assaulting police officers. They all remain in custody for questioning,” the statement added.
The identities of the three have not been released.
A Ryanair rep told Kennedy News that a “small number of passengers became disruptive,” adding that the incident is a police matter.
“We sincerely apologize to affected passengers for any inconvenience caused as a result of these passengers’ disruptive behavior,” the airline said.
