What your zodiac sign is most likely to forget
Kahil Gibran assures us that, “Forgetfulness is a form of freedom.”
According to a new study conducted by OnePoll on behalf of DoorDash, Americans are accidentally leaving behind their essentials when traveling. The survey found that 39% of people forget more than five items each month and the average person has to return home to retrieve four forgotten items in that same period.
Are the stars to blame?
While forgetfulness is equally distributed among the zodiac, the things we forget can be sign specific. Air signs can easily space out of conversations and lose track of their thoughts and technological devices. Water signs oft forget that other people can’t naturally intuit their needs while Fire signs signs forget to breathe between monologues and Earth signs forget to share their food and their feelings.
The survey revealed that the top items Americans accidentally leave at home are phones (31%), water bottles or drinks (28%), beauty products like deodorant, body lotion and makeup (25%) and sunscreen (21%). Skincare, hydration and connectivity all have their place in our lives, but we are focusing on the actions, manners and mindfulness the zodiac signs are apt to forget.
ARIES (March 21 – April 19)
To use their inside voices
Allergic to subtlety, I have yet to meet an Aries who did not equate volume with power.
TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)
To forgive
Taurus loves a snack and grudges burn calories and wrath keeps wrinkles away.
GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)
Facts
Ruled by fast thinking, double talking, rabbit hole digging planet Mercury, Geminis only retain 28% of what they hear and care more about repeating intriguing information than supporting verifiable evidence.
CANCER (June 21 – July 22)
Their ex
As the most nostalgic sign in the zodiac, Cancers have a deeply skewed view of the past and a tender take on the egregious exes that litter it.
LEO (July 23 – August 22)
To admit fault
They don’t call a group of lions a pride for nothing, folks, and trying to coax an admission of wrong doing from a Leo is an invitation for emotional mauling. You have been warned.
VIRGO (August 23 – September 22)
To RSVP
At once insular and fearful that their peculiarities make them unlovable killers of fun, Virgo always wants to be invited and never wants to go.
LIBRA (September 23 – October 22)
To make up their f**king minds
Whether it is a choice between queso or guac, warring factions or a Netflix series, Libras are hard pressed to make a tough call.
SCORPIO (October 23 – November 21)
Nothing
A Scorpio forgets nothing, least of all an enemies misdeeds, a friends failings, the zodiac sign of their familiar or the thing their mom said about their hair in 2011.
SAGITTARIUS (November 22 – December 21)
To apologize
In the bouncy mind of the average boisterous, self-righteous Sagittarius, if you’re never wrong, you never have to pretend to be sorry.
CAPRICORN (December 22 – January 19)
Success does not make them superior
Capricorns strive for excellence and struggle with judging those they determine to be less driven, hard working or s than they. They fail to remember that struggle is not the only path to character.
AQUARIUS (January 20 – February 18)
To be present
Ruled by structured planet Saturn and disruptive Uranus, Aquarians are born into the world to push it forward. This future focus is helpful for political strategy and inspired public speaking but keeps them from fully engaging in the present moment or with the company they keep.
PISCES (February 19 – March 20)
To take responsibility for their actions
Avoidant as they are, Pisces often default to victim mode or vanishing completely when faced with trouble, discord or personal failing. Statistically it is easier to catch a fish with your bare hands than to hold a Pisces accountable for infraction.
