I will never depend on a man – I’m freezing my eggs so I can have a baby whenever I please

This career-driven feminist has frozen her eggs, so she can have a baby on her own terms — saying she doesn’t need a man to make all her dreams come true.

Amela Smailbegovic, 37, is a real estate magnate who has been featured in Forbes and has “never depended on a man for anything.”

The Orlando, Florida-based businesswoman has spent the past two decades focusing on her work, meaning marriage and babies were not a priority.

“I guess my main mantra has always been female empowerment and women succeeding in business,” the glamorous “#GirlBoss” told JamPrime.com. “Maybe that’s why I’m 37, not married and settled because I focused all my time on getting myself established.”

However, Smailbegovic recently realized that most of her friends were married and having children — and her desire to become a mom was awakened, too.

During the pandemic, she recalled thinking: ” ‘Oh my gosh, like, I’m in my late 30s’ . . . I was so focused on being successful and independent that it never dawned on me that the biological clock is ticking.”

Like many other women, Smailbegovic froze her eggs during the pandemic and now has the ambitious aim of getting pregnant by 39 — with or without a partner in her life.

Although she would prefer for her child to have a “great father,” the businesswoman says she has never been constrained by convention and is not opposed to being a single mama.

“I was never one of those girls who couldn’t wait to get married, settle down and have kids,” she declared. “I stray from the societal norms they place on us and would rather have a loyal, healthy partnership.

“I couldn’t wait to get my career . . . established. I couldn’t wait to have my own company — that was my driving force,” the real estate maven said. “That’s just my personality trait, wanting to do a lot, but that has taken time and you kind of get put on autopilot.”

“I couldn't wait to get my career uprooted and be established. I couldn't wait to have my own company — that was my driving force," the Floridian further declared.

Smailbegovic believes her background played a big part in her pursuit of self-reliance and drive for success.

The beauty was born in the former Yugoslavia before fleeing with her family in 1994 amid a brutal civil war. Arriving in North America with just the clothes on their backs, Smailbegovic’s parents instilled in her the importance of independence and hard work — something that’s stayed with her until this day.

Now, she’s a top manager in a timeshare firm generating up to $40 million in annual sales and can confidently provide for any future children.

Hoping to get pregnant within the next two years, Smailbegovic said she won’t have to worry about running out of money as a mom, declaring: “All of my houses are paid off. All my cars are paid off. Businesses doing great.”
