United flight diverted over unruly passenger who didn’t like his food

A United Airlines flight bound for Amsterdam had to be diverted to Chicago because of an unruly passenger who was allegedly upset that he didn’t get his first meal choice, a fellow passenger said.

United Flight 20, which took off from Houston on Sunday afternoon, made an unexpected stop at O’Hare International Airport so police could escort the disruptive passenger off the plane, the airline said in a statement.

The unruly passenger was seated in business class and may have been intoxicated when he learned that he wouldn’t get his first choice of meal, aviation insider XJonNYC tweeted after speaking with someone on the flight.

The Twitter user said the passenger had just one message for the man who delayed his flight: “F–k you.”

It remains unclear what meal the man had gotten upset over, but United typically offers a full three-course meal to business class passengers, with a main choice between ribs, salmon or pasta.

United said in a statement that the plane “landed safely following a passenger disturbance.”

They added: “Law enforcement met the aircraft at the gate and escorted the passenger off the plane. The aircraft then continued to Amsterdam.”

United did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for additional information.

Flight tracking website FlightRadar24 noted that because the plane was prepped to travel from Houston to Amsterdam, it had to circle around Chicago to use up fuel, otherwise it would have been too heavy to land.

The incident comes as unruly behavior from passengers continues to plague airlines around the world.

Recently, an American Airlines flight set to leave Dallas was disrupted when a woman freaked out and tried to leave the plane over a “not real” passenger sitting by the rear.

Comedian Carrot Top said he was aboard the flight, accusing the woman of putting up an act that delayed his flight by three hours.

The “f–king nutjob just lost her mind in front of the whole plane,” the comic said on Instagram, noting that by the time he arrived at Orlando, he had missed the fireworks show he was traveling to see.
