Scooter-riding gunman shoots 3 in Queens, kills 86-year-old man: NYPD

A scooter-riding gunman shot three people in Queens early Saturday, killing an elderly man and leaving two others hurt before he was taken into custody, police said.

The victims included an 86-year-old man who died, a 44-year-old man who was shot in the torso, and a 63-year-old man who took a slug in the shoulder, police said.

“It seems random,” a police spokesperson said.

A shooter fires from a moped seemingly randomly Saturday in Queens, killing one man and wounding two others.

The shootings all happened near 134th Street and Jamaica Avenue in Richmond Hill, around 11:30 a.m.

Police took the shooter into custody shortly after the incident. Charges against him were pending.

Mayor Adams was headed to Jamaica Hospital to address the bloodshed.

Cops got to the scene near 134th Street and quickly and nabbed the gunman.

The shooter — described a Hispanic man with a heavy build, dressed in a green shirt, black pants with a white stripe and black and white sneakers — was described as an emotionally disturbed person who was carrying with him an extended clip of ammunition, according to a police source.

The Post obtained a photo that shows him on the scooter.

He took off eastbound on Jamaica avenue towards the Van Wyck Expressway after the shooting.
