I quit my 9-5 to travel the world
She’s traded her power suits for swimsuits.
A young woman named Maddie Steadman made the bold decision to ditch the corporate career track so she could travel the world — something many people only dream of doing.
Now, Steadman’s dreams have become a reality — after getting hired to work on a luxury yacht.
“I knew I wanted to travel the world so I quit my 9-5,” she shared on TikTok.
In the video — which she captioned, “Sorry not sorry corporate America” — Steadman shows herself waiting for her flight with her bags, segueing into a montage of her new seafaring lifestyle.
“Started working on yachts and haven’t looked back,” she wrote.
While being a “yachty” is hard work, Steadman claims there’s still time for fun.
Elsewhere among her updates on TikTok, she shows off breathtaking views of the horizon, crisp blue water and oceanside cliffs, even from her cramped cabin bedroom window.
But she’s not bound to the boat — Steadman gets to enjoy all of the exotic destinations where the yacht passengers have chosen to anchor.
One video shows her going for a run, dancing at a nightclub, enjoying Aperol Spritz and sipping coffee on the boat deck while watching the sunset.
While happy for Steadman, her followers on TikTok can’t help but lament their own mundane working schedules.
“Love this! Love seeing you and hearing about how much fun you’ve had,” one enthusiastic viewer gushed in the comments.
“How do you get into it?? I’d love to do this” one curious follower asked, while another pleaded, “Please help me escape corporate America.”
