New Clash de Cartier pieces for 2023 mix punk with polish
Say hello to your new favorite double agents.
Cartier’s punk-meets-posh Clash de Cartier collection is welcoming several fresh pieces for spring, some strewn with twin rows of its signature clou carré studs, others (seen above) wrought larger than life with oversized onyx beads and golden spikes.
Available in rose, yellow and white gold — sometimes wrapped in diamonds — the new iconoclasts include rings, earrings, flexible bracelets and necklaces.
The newcomers to the collection expand on a pinnacle emblem for the storied jewelry house: conically shaped picot studs that first made a splash in 1925, appearing on a headdress created by the maison at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts.
These latest bold arrivals (crafted with perfectly geometric spheres of onyx and diamonds set just so to maximize sparkle) expertly marry elegance with rebellion — a true clash of the titans.
