Fendi dog ‘necklace’ is the same price as human jewelry
Diamonds are a dog’s best friend?
Prissy pooches too posh for a boring old dog collar can now upgrade their neck candy to a fancy Fendi choker to dress up for puppy play dates at the park.
Fendi’s silver-colored metal necklace for dogs, which costs nearly $1,000, is embellished with 13 white crystals and a brand logo pendant.
Made in Italy, the pet choker design is 100% brass and 100% crystals and has a human-like clasp closure.
At $950, it’s the same price as the women’s gold metal O’Lock Choker.
The Italian fashion house also has an entire luxury line for pet parents who want Fido to look fashionable in Fendi.
Pet carriers with the iconic FF motif logo retail for $2,850 with options for both brown and black.
And picking up doo-doo may be less crappy with Fendi’s poop bag holders which have a colossal price tag of $395.
Of course, the matching leashes cost extra, also priced at $395, and there are even pet coats to stay warm on walks for $490.
All told, a full set of Fendi goods to transport your pet could cost upwards of $4,700.
There are also options for the lazy canines who prefer lounging at home, with nylon dog beds in the Fendi pattern for $1,350 or $1,750 depending on the size.
Fendi’s crystal necklace is just one high-end offering from fashion brands to deck out pets with couture.
Prada debuted a $795 dog raincoat in March along with a dog harness for $1,020 and a leather “pet bag” for $3,300.
And last year, Gucci released its Pet Collection with a $7,500 made-to-order pet bed for the fleabag who lounges in a French-inspired chaise, a $460 poop bag holder, a $500 leash, and a “travel bowl set” with a hard-sided case emblazoned with the “GG” logo and priced at $4,250.
Other items included $220 embellished AirTag holders, $895 bowl covers and $4,050 pet carriers with the iconic Gucci house monogram.
