Woman faces deportation from Bali after posing naked with tree

Naked ambition might get an influencer kicked out of Bali.

A social media maven is facing deportation from the Indonesian province after she was slammed by local activist and businesswoman Ni Luh Djelantik in a scathing post that called out tourists for disrespecting sacred sites.

Djelantik furiously shared photos of the mystery woman posting naked at the Kayu Putih tree, a 700-hundred-year-old specimen located at the back of a temple in Tabanan, 14 miles northwest of Bali’s capital city, Denpasar.

“To all foreigners who disrespect our land, Bali is our home — not yours!” Djelantik captioned the post on Wednesday.

“Do you think you’ll look cool taking naked pictures on our holy trees?” she continued. “Go back to your country if you can’t respect our tradition and culture!”

The influencer has reportedly been arrested and is now facing deportation, according to the Daily Mail. It’s unknown where she was traveling from.

Denpasar Immigration Office Head Tedy Riyandi confirmed the woman’s arrest, but no further details have been released, local news outlet Bali Coconuts reported.

The controversial picture comes a year after Russian influencer Alina Fazleeva and her husband, Andrey Fazleev, were banned from Bali after she posted a photo of herself posing naked under the same tree.

The pair were deported last year and were banned from the island for at least six months, according to the AFP.

Earlier in the month, 24-year-old Russian national Yuri Chilikin was deported from the Indonesian province after posting picture of himself naked from the waist down on top of Mount Agung, the highest point on the Indonesian island and an active volcano.
