I quit my full-time job to travel world taking feet selfies

He’s putting his best foot forward.

Ross Mowbray has quit his full-time job and now travels the world taking pictures of his globe-trotters.

The 29-year-old has always loved traveling and visiting new places and now that he no longer works full-time, he’s able to take in some of the world’s most spectacular sights.

Mowbray, a part-time IT recruiter in the UK, has managed to jet set to destinations like Egypt, Iceland, Norway, Australia and Thailand, spending a mere $12,000 for his many adventures.

“I was working full time in the same job, but then started doing fewer hours in order to fit the travel in as well,” he told Caters.

The “self-taught photographer” often writes about his travels on Instagram, and posts photos of his feet along the way.

Mowbray said he wanted to give make his viewers feel like they were actually traveling themselves — which is why he takes a lot of his photos from his point of view.

“I also hadn’t really seen a great deal of photos done in this way, which also made me want to take them myself,” he explained.

“I’ve only really started doing the POV feet photos in the last year or two, which means I’ll have to revisit some previously visited countries in order to take different photos,” he said.

Although he has an impressive list of countries under his belt, the globetrotter says he’s always done short trips but is planning on taking a long trip around the world in the future.

“The full list of countries I’ve visited are Scotland, Wales, Norway, Iceland, Finland, Sweden, Thailand, Cambodia, USA, Australia, Dubai, Egypt, Spain, Italy, France, Hungary, Greece, Czech Republic, Brunei,” he listed.

“Some I, unfortunately, didn’t get to properly explore, so will also have to revisit those at some point.”

Mowbray said he’s grateful for everything he’s experienced so far, listing swimming with whale sharks in western Australia and seeing the Pyramids in Egypt as some of his favorites.

“My advice for anyone would be to not spend too much time looking through your camera, if it’s possible for you to spend a little extra money to do something you’ve always wanted to,” he said.

“You won’t regret doing so and some places are cheaper to get to than you might think.”
