I’m a fitness influencer and I eat 100 eggs a day
His diet is no yolk.
A fitness influencer is going viral for sharing his health hack of eating 100 eggs every day — but catching some flack online.
Fernando Torraca, the self-proclaimed “King of the Diet,” revealed he swears by protein specifically from eggs to keep up his physique — really putting all his eggs in one basket.
In a clip with more than 226,000 views on TikTok, Torraca shows a hefty basket of 400 eggs, claiming it would take him a mere four days to consume them all.
“I’ve been training now for 19 years and I eat 7 to 8 to 10 meals a day … a lot of protein,” he says in the voiceover for the video, which shows him working out and cooking. “[I’m] eating basically almost every hour, hour and a half.”
Sometimes, he says, he can eat up to five pounds of meat in a day.
“Believe it or not, 400 eggs will last only 4 days,” he writes on another clip with 604,000 views.
In a YouTube video with more than 5,500 views, Toracca praises eggs — or rather, just egg whites — as the secret to his extreme, high protein diet over chicken or fish, claiming other protein sources can make him bloated and take too long to digest.
Yet his seemingly egg-cellent bill of health comes at a cost, he claims, since it isn’t “easy” to eat the way he does. He touts his gains as a result of learning “how to eat” so he “never gets fat.”
These quirky facts about Torraca are a dime a dozen on his page, on which he regularly posts clips of him chowing down on 48 slices of pizza, pints of ice cream and an assortment of fast food on his “cheat” days.
The health buff — who also shows off his bulging veins and rippling muscles on the app — has viewers flocking to his comments, egging him on for more, while leaving others perplexed.
“100 eggs a day….I don’t believe that,” wrote one skeptic.
“Yea but you just throw half of the egg away,” criticized someone else.
“It’s easy to eat 100 eggs a day when you pour 3/4 of them down the drain,” quipped another.
“Only guy who speaks the truth about bodybuilding,” praised one user.
“Pretty sure he feels like crap half the time I’m sorry dude but you still look good keep up the work,” wrote another.
Some users questioned his cholesterol levels, with high cholesterol having been linked to eating too many eggs.
Despite egg whites being low in cholesterol, Healthline advises eating no more than one or two eggs a day for the average adult, or four to five eggs a week if cholesterol is a concern.
